GATORADE X MADDEN NFL 22

DESCRIPTION

EA Madden NFL collaborated with Gatorade to do a special edition in-game field and vanity pack for the Madden 22 game. Centered around the story of The Road to the Dunk that every player hopes to ache\ieve has become key to Gatorade's brand and it is reflected in this colorful collab. I concepted the visual direction and then created the final assets to hand over to developers for the in-game cosmetics and environment creation.

PROCESS

Over the course of about 2 months along with my fellow art director we brainstormed ideas for how to capture the feeling of "The Dunk" AKA the crowning achievement those first few seconds after winning the Super Bowl and just before the confetti falls. We leaned into the idea of wearing the liquid like a badge of honor and relishing in it's look and feel as it soaks you head to toe. I designed the 4 vanity sets along with the field's designs by illustrating 3 different flavor profiles and having them converge in the field and in the exclusive flavor trio uniform bundle.
